Resin Driveways in Lymm, Warrington & Cheshire

Smooth, seamless and permeable resin-bound driveways, laid on a properly prepared base by a local, family-run team.

A Modern, Low-Maintenance Driveway

Resin-bound driveways combine natural aggregate with a clear resin, trowelled by hand into a smooth, even surface. The finish has no loose stones, it looks clean and modern, and because it is permeable, rainwater drains straight through rather than pooling or running onto the road.

A resin surface is only as good as what it is laid on. We prepare a stable, suitable base, usually a new tarmac or concrete layer over a compacted sub-base, with correct edging so the finish stays crack-free. We also lay block paving and tarmac if you would like to compare options.

Resin Driveway FAQs

What is the difference between resin-bound and resin-bonded?

Resin-bound mixes the stone and resin together before it is trowelled, giving a smooth, permeable surface with no loose stones. Resin-bonded scatters stone onto a resin coat, giving a rougher finish that is not permeable. For driveways, we recommend resin-bound.

Can resin be laid over my existing driveway?

Sometimes. If your current tarmac or concrete is sound, stable and free from major cracks, it may be suitable as a base. If not, we will recommend a new base. We will check this during your free survey.

Do resin driveways need planning permission?

Resin-bound surfaces are permeable, so in most cases a resin front driveway in England does not need planning permission. If you need a dropped kerb, that is arranged separately through your council.

How do I look after a resin driveway?

Sweep it regularly and give it an occasional wash with a hose or pressure washer on a low setting. That keeps the surface clean and the drainage working as it should.
