Tarmac Driveways in Lymm, Warrington & Cheshire
A smart, practical and cost-effective driveway, laid on a proper base by a local, family-run team with over 40 years of experience.
Practical, Hard-Wearing Tarmac Driveways
Tarmac is a popular choice for homes across Lymm and Warrington when you want a neat, durable surface that is quick to lay and good value. It copes well with the North West weather, gives a smooth finish for cars and bikes, and works particularly well on longer drives and larger areas.
We dig out, build and compact a proper sub-base, set strong edging so the tarmac cannot spread, and lay the surface hot to the right thickness and falls so water runs away from your home. Tarmac can be finished with block paving borders for a more decorative look, or used as a base for a resin driveway.

Tarmac Driveway FAQs
How long does a tarmac driveway last?
A tarmac drive laid at the right thickness on a properly compacted sub-base can give many years of service. Poor edging and thin layers are the usual causes of early failure, which is why we pay close attention to both.
When can I drive on a new tarmac driveway?
We will give you clear advice on the day. New tarmac stays slightly soft for a while, especially in hot weather, so it is best to avoid sharp turns and parking in the same spot at first.
Is tarmac permeable?
Standard tarmac is not permeable. For front driveways we can plan drainage so water runs to a lawn, border or soakaway, which normally avoids the need for planning permission. We will explain the options at your survey.
Can you add a border to a tarmac drive?
Yes. Block paving borders and edging are a popular way to give a tarmac driveway a smarter, more defined finish.
