Why is the sub-base so important?
The sub-base spreads the weight of vehicles and keeps the surface stable. If it is too thin or not compacted properly, the surface above will sink, crack or move, however good it looks on day one.
Do you deal with drainage?
Yes. We plan falls so water runs away from your house and install channel drains or soakaways where needed. On front driveways this also helps with planning rules for surface water.
Can you take away the old driveway?
Yes. We break out and remove old concrete, tarmac or paving and take the spoil away as part of the job.
Do you only do groundwork as part of a driveway?
