Block Paving Driveways in Lymm, Warrington & Cheshire

Hard-wearing, good-looking block paving designed around your home, laid by a family-run team with over 40 years of experience.

Block Paving Laid Properly, From the Ground Up

Block paving is one of the most popular choices for homes in Lymm, Warrington and across Cheshire, and for good reason. It is strong enough for daily parking, comes in a huge range of colours and laying patterns, and individual blocks can be lifted and relaid if you ever need access to drains or services underneath.

What makes a block paved drive last is the part you never see. We dig out to the correct depth, lay and compact a proper sub-base, set firm edge restraints and plan the falls so water drains away from your house. Then we lay the blocks, cut in the borders neatly and finish with kiln-dried sand. We also lay resin, tarmac and concrete driveways if you are weighing up the options.

Block Paving FAQs

How long does a block paved driveway last?

Laid on a properly prepared, compacted sub-base, a block paved driveway can last for decades. Most problems, like sinking or rutting, come from poor preparation, which is why we never cut corners on the groundwork.

Do block paved driveways need maintenance?

Very little. An occasional sweep, a wash down and topping up the jointing sand when needed will keep it looking good. A sealant can help reduce weeds and staining if you would like extra protection.

Can you repair a single damaged block?

Yes. One of the big advantages of block paving is that individual blocks can be lifted and replaced, so stains or damage can be fixed without redoing the whole drive.

Is block paving permeable?

Standard block paving is not, but permeable block paving is available. It lets rainwater soak through the joints and is often used to avoid needing planning permission on front driveways. We will advise you on the best option for your property.
